Lake Como

• Towns we enjoyed in order of our favorites: Varena (nice lakeside walk and views from Castelo di Vezio if you want to work off that pasta), Bellagio (fun fact: the Las Vegas hotel Bellagio is named after this town), and Menaggio. You can ferry (with or without a car) among these three towns. Scenic drives to these towns are stunning (but recommended only for the courageous!)
• Cities of Como and Lecco are more developed with a variety of cuisines.
• One of our favorite activities: renting a speedboat that you can drive yourself on the lake to explore!

Lake Maggiore

The town of Stresa and some islands in the lake are popular things to do.

Lake Lugano

The city of Lugano in Switzerland is only 40 minutes away and a cute city to spend the day.
